Heartwood white to pale yellow-brown, darkening on exposure. Grain is shallowly interlocked and wavy. Texture medium and even. Lustrous, with faint ribbon figure on the quarter sawn face. Sapwood not well demarcated and white. Resin content present. Growth rings not apparent.
